What services can I offer as a virtual assistant?

Congratulations! If you’re reading this I’m guessing you’re either thinking about starting your own virtual assistance business or you’ve already taken the leap of faith! This is huge and we hope we can help you in some way.

When we were starting out, our service offering was something we backed and forth on quite a bit. The great news is this doesn’t need to be set in stone and you can totally change this as you gain more experience and learn what sorts of things you enjoy doing and the things you don’t enjoy doing.

Our mindset and approach have always been, as Richard Branson says “If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes - then learn how to do it later!”

I know what you’re thinking, “What if a client needs someone with experience?” Yes sure, you’ll get a client who values your experience over having a “can-do” attitude, a willingness to learn and a great sense of determination but we promise most value the latter more. You won’t be expected to “know it all”! We all need to start somewhere. And you may not think it yet but you do have experience.

So where do you start? How do you know what services you can offer as a virtual assistant?

The best place to start is to look at what you’re currently doing (or were doing) you must have some experience, skills and knowledge in that. For example, are you currently bookkeeping, designing, or doing administrative tasks - you can definitely start by offering what you have experience in.

Perhaps you’ve studied something or would like to study something such as digital marketing so that you can add this to your service offering.

There has never been a better time to start a virtual assistance business than now as virtual assistants are in demand! There is definitely more than enough work out there - the world is literally your oyster!
